The only flush available to dissolve burnt glycol.

STEP 1.

        

  1. Record water pump pressure and all temps.
  2. Drain coolant.
  3. Remove Surge/Day Tank Caps.
  4. Install 1” ball valve on each side of block underneath rail.
  5. Fill with HDF (Ready to Use) until overflow from Surge/Day Tank.
  6. Run Unit 7 days.

 

STEP 2.

 

  1. Power wash out Surge/Day Tank while full. Let particles overflow. (15 minutes)
  2. Drain Flush via ball valve on each side of block underneath rail.
  3. Re-fill with HDF (Ready to Use).
  4. Run Unit 7 days.
  5. Power wash out Surge/Day Tank while full. Let particles overflow. (15 minutes)
  6. Drain Flush (dispose as you would old coolant)

 

 

STEP 3.

 

  1. Shutdown/Remove Surge Tank Cap.
  2. Power wash Surge Tank with STH - Surge Tank Hose (while still hot and full). 

Let particles overflow. (15-20 min)

  1. Drain Flush via ball valve on each side of block underneath rail.

(dispose as you would old coolant)

  1. Fill with deionized water until overflow from Surge/Day Tank.
  2. Run Unit until up to temperature and thermostats open.
  3. Continue to pump in deionized water until overflow at the top from Surge/Day Tank 

before opening ball valves. (2 x volume) overflow until clean.

  1. Inspect water pump and replace thermostats.
  2. Drain Unit / Fill with New Coolant*

 

*(Best Practice) Do not leave or run with water only. 

Fill with coolant mix and 3%  CRI – Corrosion Rust Inhibitor
